A teardrop-shaped pear-cut diamond necklace in yellow gold

This yellow gold pear-cut diamond necklace was born of a simple wish: to design a luminous drop that can be worn every day. I crafted the pendant in 18-carat yellow gold (750/1000 gold), then attached it to a fine chain, discreet against the skin. First, the teardrop outline follows the silhouette of the central diamond. Then, the pavé draws a halo of tiny sparkling points around the stone. In addition, the polished finish gives the metal a warm, deep yellow. Weighing 4.19 grams, this piece remains light, yet its presence is noticed. The whole piece was assembled and polished in my workshop, with the care I bring to every creation.

A pear-cut diamond with its sparkling diamond pavé

At the centre, a natural pear-cut diamond of 0.75 carat, measuring 7.5 by 4.5 mm, catches the light in each of its facets. It is held by fine claws, which let the brilliance shine through. Around it, 21 small round diamonds of 1.2 mm, totalling 0.21 carat, form an even diamond pavé. All are natural diamonds, graded HSI. As a result, the main stone appears larger and the eye travels from the tip of the drop to its sparkling outline. The diamond symbolises constancy and the strength of bonds: it is therefore a natural choice for a birth, an engagement or an anniversary. Finally, this 750 gold diamond pendant is as much at home in everyday wear as for an evening out.

A word from the designer: why choose a designer diamond necklace?

Because here, every stage passes through my hands. I draw the design, I select the gemstones one by one, then I build the jewel at the bench, in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire, near Nantes. This handmade diamond necklace is therefore anything but anonymous: the balance between the central stone and its halo has been carefully considered so that the whole is harmonious. Moreover, I can explain my choices, show you the piece and answer your questions, just as if you were stepping through the door of my workshop.
