Wax Model Making for Bespoke Jewellery

A truly made-to-measure process! Making a wax model allows us to validate the design, try on the piece and adjust the model if needed (size, thickness, width…). It is an indispensable stage before the final making of the jewel, since once approved, this prototype will be cast in gold or silver.

The wax model is an essential stage in the process of creating bespoke jewellery. It allows you to see the piece in three dimensions before it is finally made. Thanks to this model, the size, thickness and design can be adjusted with precision. This preparatory work ensures a perfectly controlled making process, true to the client's expectations.

In our workshop in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire, each wax prototype is carefully sculpted to validate the project. Once approved, the piece is cast in gold or platinum using the lost-wax technique, guaranteeing a faithful and refined result.

High Jewellery Making in Gold and Platinum

All our jewellery is handmade, using a variety of techniques. Here, the wax model made earlier comes to life through the casting of precious metals (lost-wax casting). The metal is heated until it becomes liquid. The piece is then cleaned, abraded and polished.

Once the wax model is complete, we move on to lost-wax casting, a traditional technique that brings even the most intricate forms to life. The precious metal, whether 18-carat gold or platinum, is melted at high temperature to follow the mould perfectly.

Once it has set, the raw piece is carefully cleaned, emery-finished and then polished to reveal its full brilliance. This goldsmithing work allows us to create one-of-a-kind pieces that combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary standards. Every stage is carried out in our workshop, ensuring 100% local manufacture, from the wax to the finished jewel.
