Gold Wedding Bands (750)

Yellow gold navette sphere wedding band

€750

This 18-carat yellow gold ring (750/1000 gold) was conceived in my workshop as a pure line, free of any superfluous ornament. Its 2.3 grams of solid gold make for a ring that is light to wear, yet dense on the finger: the metal can be felt, quietly. I worked the gold until I achieved this refined profile

Description

Jewellery details:

Weight: 2.3 grams

Metal: 18-carat yellow gold (750/1000 gold)

18-carat yellow gold ring: a pared-back, contemporary line

This 18-carat yellow gold ring (750/1000 gold) was conceived in my workshop as a pure line, free of any superfluous ornament. Its 2.3 grams of solid gold make for a ring that is light to wear, yet dense on the finger: the metal can be felt, quietly. I worked the gold until I achieved this refined profile, with softened edges and the luminous polish so characteristic of yellow gold. This contemporary piece sits just as well on its own as stacked with other slender rings. Each piece is shaped by hand, then checked and hallmarked one by one. As a result, no 18-carat gold ring that leaves my bench is ever perfectly identical to its neighbour, and that is precisely what I look for.

Engagement ring, anniversary or simply for pleasure: any occasion will do

Because it remains understated, this yellow gold ring suits every occasion. It is often chosen as an engagement ring by those who prefer line to stone, or as a wedding band for a marriage without fuss. I am also commissioned to make it for an anniversary, for Mother's Day, for Valentine's Day, and sometimes for a far simpler reason: to treat oneself, on a Tuesday, for no particular reason. It can be engraved on the inside (a date, two initials, a word) so that the message remains invisible to everyone else. In short, this gold jewellery piece does not depend on any ceremony to exist. It accompanies you, it endures, and it is handed down.

A word from the maker: why choose designer jewellery?

Why choose a designer ring over a mass-produced one? Because everything begins with a drawing, my own, sketched in pencil before being translated into volume. The contemporary design here is a decision, not a passing trend: I take away until only the right proportion remains. The design, the modelling, any setting and the final polishing are all carried out in the same workshop, by the same hands. When a gemstone is requested, the precious stones are selected one by one, under the loupe, for their water and brilliance rather than for their certificate alone. Finally, I answer your questions myself: a handmade piece of jewellery deserves to have its story told to you.
