Gold Rings (750)

Tsavorite garnet ring, white gold

€2,200

Made to order

This solitaire ring in 18-carat white gold (750/1000 gold) was made entirely in my workshop, around a crossover mount with flowing lines. At the centre, a 1-carat oval tsavorite garnet (7 × 5 mm) is set on four ball claws, deliberately discreet. This precious stone from East Africa shows an intense, almost electric green, often mistaken for emerald

18-carat white gold solitaire ring: a crossover mount with flowing lines

This solitaire ring in 18-carat white gold (750/1000 gold) was made entirely in my workshop, around a crossover mount with flowing lines. Its 3.50 grams of solid gold unfold like a wave: the band rises on one side, passes behind the stone, then descends on the other, never closing in on itself. This movement gives the jewel its contemporary character, far more supple than a classic solitaire with aligned claws. The metal has been polished to a mirror finish, so that the white of the gold answers the green of the gem. The band remains comfortable, rounded on the inside, and the setting sits low: this white gold ring is made to be worn every day.

1-carat tsavorite garnet: a rare green for an engagement, an anniversary or a personal treat

At the centre, a 1-carat oval tsavorite garnet (7 × 5 mm) is set on four ball claws, deliberately discreet. This precious stone from East Africa shows an intense, almost electric green, often mistaken for emerald, yet tsavorite is clearer and markedly more durable. It is also rarer. Moreover, no oil and no treatment is involved in its preparation: its colour is entirely natural. This deep green makes it a singular engagement ring, far from the expected diamond, but it suits just as well a wedding, an anniversary, Mother's Day or Valentine's Day. Sometimes it is given to oneself, simply for the pleasure of it. That may be the finest reason of all.

A word from the designer: why a designer ring rather than a mass-produced solitaire?

Why a designer ring? Because this design began as a pencil line, redrawn until the curve sat just right on the finger. The design was guided by a constraint I set myself: remove everything that is not necessary, then refine what remains. The choice of gemstones comes next, under the loupe and in daylight: a tsavorite is chosen for its clarity and the vividness of its green, never on the strength of a single certificate. Finally, the wax, the setting and the polishing are all carried out by hand, at the bench. As a result, each handmade jewel carries tiny differences. You are buying a design, an intention and a pair of hands.
